Midway!

Three down, two to go. And here're some interesting experiences so far:

Going for your paper early will only cause more stress and anxiety due to the sweltering heat and the nervous faces all around you. It's like queueing up for the Great Singapore Sale or Zouk on a Saturday night. Not that I frequent Zouk, but yeah you get the picture. Coming just on time will solve all these problems, but you've gotta time yourself just right. Which was what happened for my paper today.

Yesterday towards the last few minutes of GE1101E, one of my lecturers quietly placed Mentos the Freshmaker sweets on quite a number of tables, . Now that doesn't happen very often during exams right. One of my tutors also personally called to wish me all the best for my paper today. So sweet. However, that doesn't change anything and too bad I've already submitted my appraisals online. But where're the promised 100 G account points! =(

Speaking for CORS, some of us're already starting to map out our modules for next semester. Alliances are being forged and negotiations in free trade for used textbooks are taking place, much like how President-elect Obama is forging ahead with the formation of his new team. Okay so who's interested to do Marketing, Managerial Economics and Management & Organisation with me next year? Anyone?

Now for some post exam plans. I'm afraid the technical recession has really hit home. I'm just afraid that with all the retrenchments going on, coupled with the hordes of A and O level kids, the job market might just be super-saturated. That means even part-time or temporary jobs may be hard to come by, especially since I'll only be able to work for a month or so. So I'll probably join the ranks of the unemployed for some time, living off my already dwindling savings. Whatever the case is, I really need to update my curriculum vitae. And I hope my tuition kid doesn't abscond to Korea permanently with the money he still owes me. Haha.

Oh and there's a new study location! Starbucks, United Square. Don't ask me why I happened to be all the way in Novena. Well I got lost driving somewhere along Moulmein Road before though. Like how I ended up studying in Mos Burger, Junction 8 and Bishan Community Library, of all places. Same reason. Haha.

On a sidenote: You know the movie - Bangkok Dangerous starring Nicholas Cage? It's become all so true now. But the sunny islands of Phuket and Koh Samui are still open and accepting flights so it's still not too late to change your travel plans to the Land of Smiles! =)

Okay back to memorising definitions for tomorrow's PS1101E.
