Happy Hour

Yup, the title says it all. The food was okay, but too bad there wasn't any beer at duty-free (read: CHEAP) prices. Not that I like Tiger. But still, it would have been such a good bargain, especialy if you've not drunk for such a long time. Imagine Happy Hour without drinks. Haha.

Anyway, it's only been three days into unit life and it's been quite a ride so far. Went outfield to "observe" our designated detachments, i.e., when we take over from the outgoing commanders. And how soon will that be man. We'll start assuming Duty Instructor, COS and guard commander roles from the 18th of the month onwards, and next year, we'll be fully taking over on the 19th of January. Fast? Wait till you hear what's coming up next.

A few of us'll be going for Exercise Battleking @ Crescendo Thailand next Jan. We'd be taking on the role of detachment commanders and Wei Hong has the dubious honour of being the ammo I/C. Not funny leh. Can't imagine the vast amount of preparation involved and weekends burnt and training and stuff. On the bright side, at least it's an all-expenses paid for trip (well, except for shopping of course) there'll be R & R, and we'll get to take officer cadets who'll do most of the work for us. Yeah, people like Yao Qi man, just before they commission. Haha. No lah.

Other than that, life's alright so far. Maybe that's because we've only experienced the privileges of being a spec but not the true responsibilities yet. Hmmmm.

Can't wait for the weekend man. It's been such a long and draggy week. More newcomers at Faith Factor this Saturday. We'll see them. =)
