Pool day
Saturday was Joshua and Regina's wedding. Imagine, it was six long years since they got to know each other and stuff... before they finally tied the knot. It must have been a long and sometimes painful process. But as the saying goes, True. Love. Can. Wait. I guess it also goes to show the amount of preparation it takes for a a guy and a girl to know each other well enough to be able to become a couple, let alone enjoy a successful marriage. In this mad world of twisted romances, one-night stands and obsession with everything superficial, it is comforting to know that people like them are setting a good example to potential spouses and even potential couples to follow. Little things like keeping "their doors opened" and constantly seeking godly counsel, being accountable to Godpa and their BS group in every step of the relationship... I'm not saying they're perfect, but it's the little things like these which really count a lot.
Many of us are often preoccupied with comparing how sweet our girlfriends or boyfriends can be (or should be, for that matter); comparing what kind of expectations we should have of each other - everything except thinking about how the relationship can please God. So many of us are facing this struggle right now. Young people like us value privacy and freedom more than most other things, but mentors and godly advice are imperative for a relationship to keep on the right track. So now I've realised. Wait maybe not, in the past I may have realised that, but never fully acknowledged the need to listen and submit. Dear God it can be so difficult sometimes.
Today was pool day madness man. About 4 hours of pool. Not at one shot, but in two batches of about two hours' each. The first round was at Parkway Centre (yeah Parkway again) with some of Godpa's BS group people. The second was back at The Floravale's Games Room with Edward and Daryl Tian. Well I haven't improved that much yet. But hey practice makes perfect right. Yes.
Another packed week awaits. I think. Haha. And I do think I'm gonna fall sick soon.
