A brief respite

Today I woke up late guess because I could. =)

Haven't done that since ORD. In fact, I used to be waking up even earlier compared to my days in camp. Haha. Strange but true. Glad to have this week of no work. Not full-time at least.

Anyway, it's back to the real world after yet another six days in Malacca and its surrounding environs. CAMP 2008 certainly taught me a lot from Revelations - things that one wouldn't be able to pick up if one studies the book on his own. Many many relevant and specific applications for church like ours. Now I pray that we'll be able to keep this renewed fire for God burning brightly as we transit back to our day jobs, school and even in our relationships with others. The two-day extension we had was also quite fun, although cheesy and touristy at times. Whatever the case is, I think I'll leave it to the pictures to do most of the talking. So here goes!

Colonising the bed on the first afternoon.

I thought it was nice so I took a picture of it.

View from the 9th floor.

Just one of the icebreakers we played.

There were mysterious handprints on 1318 toilet mirror. And they're not ours.

The dance floor in the gym.

Our favourite activity. At least for the first two nights. =)

Now this is pretty cool.

Sights and sounds.

Chicken rice balls.

You can't miss this when you're in Malacca.

Our accomodation for the next two days...

Unique open-air showering concept.

Where to?

Participation from the audience please. Now this was one of the "fake" parts of the stay.

Answering the call of nature. Haha.

Feeding time.

Wah so big ah.

Cheap thrill. =)

I like this shot.

The amount of durian we consumed was legendary.

Water lillies.

They call it the lipstick plant.

Scenery shot.

A secluded hideaway.

Log cabins.

Relaxing man.

Handicraft session.

Close ups of... beads I think. I like how my lousy phone camera managed to get this effect. =)

Okay my pictures are very random and don't necessarily depict all the activities we did during the camp as well as the extension. Others things that we did include "jungle trekking", card games and a vist to the "night safari". I just didn't have a lot of good photos of the night shots. Thanks. =D
