Meltdown

In these financially tumultous times, it is troubling to find companies like AIA (Singapore) and Manulife asking to view your full resume on JobsDB and JobsCentral. But that is exactly what they requested, and that makes you think, are they really that desperate?

Either way, it's belt tightening time. But I need new socks! Haha. And maybe a new arm pouch for running. Okay, Saturday. =) Not that I've been badly affected in any sense. And I'm just thankful that my credit crunch has been somewhat eased by the birthday month. Still, I've got a long way to go to build up my reserves to pre-"post-NS" levels. I just hope tuition continues as per normal and that his parents aren't in any way affected by the meltdown. For both altrustic reasons and well, my own pockets' sake. Hey at least I'm honest. Haha.

Speaking of meltdowns, I hope no one is having anything of that sort, especially now that mid-terms're over and the results come in one by one. I need to be more stressed! Sometimes I take so long to get settled down to actually study. Yes I'm on par with my readings and handing in assignments and essays so far, but how do I really know that I'm studying correctly in the absence of mid-terms? That ladies and gentlemen, can only be answer in the finals, which by then, might be a little too late don't you think? Then there're the ever-present burdens of projects, assignments, tutorials and essays to hand in in drips and draps, that will somehow or other, distract you from the main exams. So well.

Be careful what you wish for though. I had a minor shock on Monday when I realised I hadn't even started on some tutorials and my PS1101E essay still hangs in the balance. And I think I'm falling behind in BSP1004 and maybe Philo? I don't know.

Anyway, who wants to book their IPPT with me? Anyone? Don't wait till after the semester exams! We won't have time to train before that. And besides, $400 is just too good to pass. I'm confident about my 2.4, although I might not be able to hit sub 9. But I'm not too sure about the other stations, especially for SBJ. It's always been my weakness! Okay anyway, so who wants to try for Gold? =)

On a side note, here's a plea from a brand new, three-week old, "P" plate driver: Stop cutting into my lane on the highways please! Everyone deserves a chance to learn and familiarise! Thank you! =D
