Eventful
Two major highlights this week. Okay make that three.
Army 3rd Singapore Division Tiger Trail on Tuesday. Sixteen kilometres plus nine knolls, of which I only managed to complete four in a timing of one hour and forty two minutes with Dawson and Timothy Chong. Well done guys, the LONGEST distance I've ever run till date. No don't give me that look, NO Division X-Country for me please. Army Half Marathon's just round the corner!
Run 4 Missions early this morning. Stayed over at Godpa's place the previous night if not the long commute from home to Bedok would have killed me. Did another eight plus or so kilometres, acording to Uncle Osbert's pacer. They said it was seven and a half kilos, but the run from Bedok Food Centre to the underpass at East Coast Park was already about one and a half kilos. And the distance from the underpass to Bedok Jetty and back should be more than six or seven kilos. Hmmm. Somehow my stamina wasn't up to mark and running back from ECP to BFC proved to be a gruelling task. Maybe it's due to the fact that I've been running on alternate days since Sunday last week. Maybe I'm just getting weak and old. Maybe. Haha. Wll at least it was for a good cause yes?
Slacked at Ben's place after the run, before going down to get the refreshments and snacks for the Synod Youth Games, which was held in the afternoon. The food was great, thanks to the refreshment stall people, provided by KPC Youth of course. =) We garnered a third in the 19-25 age category for captains' ball, and although our younger captains' ball team (13-18) and our soccer team (13-18) didn't make it to the top four, the games were all in good fun. Just wait till the Synod Youth Camp come end of the year man! =)
Shagged out from all this physical activity man. Thankfully, next week should be a short one. Wait, then there's the Detachment Proficiency Test which I'm gonna do pretty badly I think. Totally unprepared. Ah well.
Anyway, let's enjoy the weekend while I still can, so here're some of the photographs taken during the Synod Youth Games, using my N73. Enjoy! =)
Jump! (13-18 year captains' ball team)
Roger and well, the soccer ball (sorry I didn't get many pictures of the soccer team in action. Ask Shaun or Zuhao or Kimberly!)
Taking a breather in between matches - Shawn Quek, our guest player from Prinsep, on the extreme right. =)
Our 19-25 captain's ball team putting on the pressure for True Way's team...
Always time of a game of Time Crisis 3 at Junction 8's arcade for rest and recreation. And there's Matthew Hong in the background. =)
