Rushed Entry!
Okay, I've gotta get to Somerset by 1800 so this shall be the last thing I do on the computer before changing and heading off.
This week was okay, especially since there were no outfield exercises. But there were the 10 and 12 kilometre AHM training sessions. The tempo's only gonna increase, with distances covered going up to 14, 16 to 16, 18 and all the way up to the full half marathon standard of a whopping 21 kilometres. Yes, that's quite short to many of you, but to an inexperienced runner like myself, it'll be the longest I would have ever ran in my life. That is if, I manage to complete the run in the first place. Haha. Gotta have faith in my Adiddas Response CTL6 shoes man.
Had two medical appointments today. The dental one was routine, but since it under NTUC, it wasn't free. Had my teeth cleaned, polished and a cavity filled. The other one was a continuation of my podiatric appointments. Finally managed to have two pairs of insoles made - one for normal walking and the other for running in boots. Even so, I've gotta wait till like 10 August for them to be ready. Wah lao, so long can. Total bill for two pairs of insoles - $513.60 inclusive of GST. Anyway, the government pays for it, so I guess it's time to make more insoles yes? Just like Say Chong. Haha. Speaking of which, GST's increasing the prices of everything, from normal McDonald's EVMs to higher end food like Sizzlers.
Talking about food, the whole of Gun 2 went out for detachment cohesion night at Suntec on Wednesday. The bill at Sizzlers was astronomical, but thankfully, we used the money earned from the USMS survey/suggestions to subsidise it. Food was not bad, but I think it still wasn't worth the price. Hmmm.
Alright, enough for now. Gotta go.
Interesting reminder huh?
