Packed
It's been a crazy week. Here we go.
Monday morning was spent clearing the SOC. Passed by a mere few seconds. Most thankfully. I'll never be doing the dreaded course ever again in my whole life. I think it's worse than running a half marathon lah. Considering the load you have to carry and run, and the lack of supporters to cheer you on. Haha no lah. Just glad that it's finally over. Went over to Tecman and Popular @ Bras Basah to finish my Christmas card shopping and did some window shopping of my own in anticipation for...
Tuesday. Sent out the Thanksgiving invitations from Cheryl's place. Watched the others dance and box on the Wii. Samuel won me in shooting by one point lah. Then it was Brewerkz for dinner, at 6 p.m. Rather early, but we wanted to catch the last of the happy hour deals you see. I mean, they have really good food and beer, but I really wanted to try something new lah. Well, the majority won of course. More window shopping in town after that.
Wednesday. Met up with DJ's financial adviser from Prudential, regarding some investment-linked savings plan. After much research and little consideration, I must say that it sounds pretty good. I think I'm already in the process of applying, since I've signed like most of the documents already. Hmmm. Then it was dinner at Billy Bombers, Marina Square. After which, more window shopping again.
Thursday. House warming at The Linear. Didn't eat much for lunch. I always tend to eat less at most buffets. Guess I'm too lazy to take more food. The only exception would be buffets at restaurants. Haha. Then it was time for the real shopping to begin at Raffles City. Splurge time. Shopping part two continued on Friday afternoon, followed by a mini-class gathering at the Big O, Wheelock Place, and a late night movie.
Saturday. The last regular Faith Factor session for the year, and perhaps, my last one as a group leader and Vice-Chair. It was nothing extraordinary though. We didn't even have class - both Evan and Shuhui had to leave early. Honestly, class time is not something that I'll miss very much, although I regret not having done more to facilitate group discussions in a better way, that could have reached out and connected with the Seventeens more. Oh well. Now they'll be handed back over to Roy and Joyce. I guess it's something that will benefit everyone. But hopefully, and prayerfully, those still under our charge will be able to commit themselves to a regular mentoring timetable, and we'd do so likewise.
So that's it. This is the last weekend before Christmas. More exciting news next week. Till then, it's time to fill up the photo quota!
How many people does it take to play a Wii? Five. One to hold the controller, four to sit and use their hands on the dance mat.
Liang Kuan was obviously enjoying himself lah. Oktobrfest was good though.
Come over to The Dark Side. I had one and a half servings. Li Wei couldn't finish his! Haha. And I thought only girls did this - take photos of their food and drool over them. But I was wrong!
