First entry to be written before 12.00 midnight right. Achievement achievement. Haha. I should be turning in earlier anyway, to be able to keep awake for tomorrow's event. Gonna help Ron with his SP-Campus Crusade enrolment survey thingy.
Basically spent the past two days or so at home. Fuzhi came over yesterday to use the gym, while Edward came over past three days for pool and yes, the gym too. Thank goodness for these people, otherwise, I wouldn't have the discipline to work out myself. Hah. Went downtown today for lunch with Cindy, before coming back to JP for dinner and going through the CBSI worksheet with Edward at home.
You know, after today's CBSI "session", I've come to realise that living in Boon Lay may not be such a bad idea after all. Well, it's still so far away from most places and most people, and I still get that depressing "factory" feeling about this area, but still. Maybe, just maybe, God has put my family here for a reason - even though we may only be staying here for a few more years (few more = more than 6? -_-). There're people right here, yes, people living in the West, that we can and should reach out to. And it just amazes me how God can bring people in need to you, even though you may be staying in some weird remote place of Singapore. Sure it took five years for me to see the need... But now the need seems ever so clear. =)
They're gonna screen Megiddo (or however you spell it) this Saturday. We were encouraged to come and to bring friends and all. But what surprises me is... Where is the follow up? For the youths, there'd be the newcomer forms and all, but isn't there like a general follow up for people of other age groups? Like a general wrap up session after the movie to explain to us, especially to non-Christians, the meaning and significance of the show? It seems tragically ironic that, as much as we desire for growth and even plan numerous events to bring in new people, the after-event follow up seems to be sorely lacking. This seemingly unpleasant job often falls on the shoulders of those who suggest it, and sad to say, the same few people will be the ones doing it. Hey I mean, these people need to take breaks too you know. And it's everyone's job to make people feel welcomed ya. (For more on this issue, see also the blog entry titled: "Opening Up") Well, this matter has already been brought up to the higher-ups. So we'll wait and see. =)
The food arrangements for April 1's chalet event hasn't been settled yet. Argh.
