Sick leave

Kinda sucks to be sick while you're on leave or off. You can't really enjoy the break, considering all the appointments you have to cancel. Really hope this fever subsides soon. And the cough and cold too. Taking Attend C for tomorrow is unthinkable - just you wait and see the backlash from the others. Besides, I've gotta collect my insoles later. Hmmm.

Uncle Kian Lee and Aunty Koon Lay hosted the gathering at their Bayshore Park home on Saturday. Our parents did the usual catching up while the kids tried to put names to our parents' friends and their children - people we supposedly played with when we were much younger but somehow, lost contact with over the years. The feeling's much like something you'd experience during a Chinese New Year visit you know. Haha. Anyway, the event was also to celebrate Uncle Chow Leng's birthday and sorta a send-off for their family as return to Canada in two days' time.

And guess who I met on the condominium grounds? D.J Teo! Who happened to be celebrating his girlfriend's secondary school friend's birthday. Hah, a real coincidence. =)

Adult mentors' biblestudy on Sunday was on James 2:1 to 13. The passage's really relevant to the Seventeens lah. In fact, the whole book is. Well, it's not that the rest of the Bible isn't, but James is very clear in his applications. Hopefully, we'd be able to do some make-up lessons for the class.

Monday was spent looking through old photo albums for photographs to be included in the specially designed album that came with the package Daddy bought. Most of these photographs were taken before I was ten - before I was erm fully conscious of the world around me, and thus, not many memories came flooding back to me. But it's amazing how some of our friendships have lasted all these years - for some, all the way since birth. It's also interesting to see how big goggle-like spectacles, curly hair, wearing your pants high up your waist and thigh-level socks used to be the rage back in those days. Haha.

Alright. I've gotta go. I'll see if I can upload any more of the Night Safari photographs and the ones taken during Saturday's gathering. =)

Guess who? =) (Taken somewhere in Genting Highlands back in 1991)
