Back To The Grind
Yep. After a long lull period, it's back to a full five-day (and for this week, six) work week, with a short but packed weekend.
Pulled my team's overall score down for our combat shoot on Monday. Had to treat them to lunch on Friday for that. Haha. Duty on Tuesday. Close combat grading on Wednesday. And then there was lunch at Seah Deli @ Raffles Hotel with Godpa and family on Saturday, the usual Faith Factor (without the Seventeens) and Shaun and Roy's house warming in the evening. Today was really enjoyable lah I must say. Looking forward to the remaining Saturdays of this month. Lunch and dinner appointments galore. More indulgence = more good food. I like birthday months. =)
Still contemplating whether I should sign up for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2007. Not for the full forty two kilometres, but maybe something more manageable - the usual half marathon. It's prohibitively expensive though, due to the fact that it's already quite late into the registration stage. Imagine paying sixty-five dollars for pespiration, exhaustion, muscle cramps, a running singlet, bananas and isotonic drinks. Then again, this much anticipated and prestigious event only swings by once a year, and it's highly unlikely that I'd ever participate in such running events after ORD. Well... Still awaiting Reynold and Zi Hao and Bryan's reply. Because it sucks to run alone really. Hmmm.
Alright. COS duty tomorrow. Followed by guard on Monday. And the sudden inclusion of Bravo in the battalion exercise this Tuesday to Thursday means five days of non-stop action. And lack of sleep. Haha. Oh well. May God grant me rest and speedy recovery from my cold. Sheesh.
