Three-day work-week

It could have been a two and a half day work-week if I'd knew that we had another half day off to extend our passports you know. Haha. But yeah, the name says it all. The very last day of Army Open House 2007 was on Monday. Took Tuesday off and Friday was a battery off-in-lieu for the sai-kang done over the weekend at Pasir Laba Camp. According to Linus, all UAs have been given a whopping 5 days of "off"s. Pretty cool, until realise that you may not have the time to clear your off days on top of the vast amount of paid leave that you also have to clear before year's end. Haha.

That being said, it was a relatively uneventful week after the hype of AOH died down. Marianne Lee joined us for mentoring on Thursday evening, over a delectable dessert of Ben & Jerry's. Watched one of the worst movies in my life on Friday evening. I won't say what show it was, but really, I don't know which genre the movie could have belonged to. More like horror-comedy-crap. Total waste of money lah. But dinner was really good, though not filling enough. =)

Tried out some of the food at the new coffeeshop over at the former Telok Kurau Civil Defence Camp after Faith Factor today. Wasn't too bad. Now we've got one more alternative besides the usual Fei Fei and Dunman Food Centre. And the 24-hour Thai Muslim coffeeshop. And the crab restaurant. Sorry I don't remember the names of such places. Haha.

Anyway, the new television came last Friday. It's huge (to me at least). It's flat. But somehow the picture quality didn't really impress me for a Sony Bravia that cost quite a large sum of money. And to think that it was bought a mere two weeks before COMEX 2007. Could have saved a few hundred dollars if it had been ordered during the exhibition I should think. Heartpain man.

Then again, maybe it's just the quality of my phone camera. ;)
