Splurge
This week wasn't as bad as it should have been. Especially for Tuesday to Thursday. Sure, there were three duties in five days, but at least they were all done in camp. If you know what I mean. Haha. Having a good detachment can be rewarding in more ways than one. Really thankful for that yes. =)
This week's been splurge week. So much good food consumed. Hurts the wallet more than the weighing scales. I've got a high metabolism rate that's accompanied by a high marginal propensity to consume. Haha. McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Canadian Pizza, the local canteen fare and not to mention Cafe Cartel. And then there was the movie and shopping. More to come in the weeks ahead!
Went for Uncle Rodney's ordination this afternoon, followed by the combined mid-autumn festival outreach celebrations. Not many youths turned up, presumably because there was no Faith Factor and such events are considered optional to many of them. Then again, the final year, O and A Level exams are just round the corner.
Been experiencing this pain at the back of my right knee and in my feet (the latter alternates between each foot) after I run now - ever since the Singapore Bay Run. I don't know if it's my insoles or the way I wear my shoes that cause it. Maybe I do need a knee guard. Whatever it is, I really hope it's nothing serious, especially since I've so recently signed up for the SCSM2007's half marathon. Gonna get it checked when I go down to collect my third and fourth pair of insoles (delayed for two weeks already!) Ah well.
And after just nine months, a notice-to-move. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but I believe it's only a matter of time. Change. It's just so difficult for me to adapt, especially if I've started to feel so much for them, especially if there's still so much left to be done. I really need more time.
Nostalgic remnants of a past long abandoned. When there were still a sizeable number of young adults. A good reminder of all of us to hold on to God's Word and to our young people.
