New Year
The Fifteens' class outing to Siglap's Cafe Cartel went well. The very last one for 2006 and perhaps for the forseeable future. Somehow, I had to force myself to finish the St. Louis' Pork Ribs. Which usually doesn't happen to me. Hmmm. Marianne L. and I then went next door to Coffee Club to look for the Sixteens', who were also having their final class outing with their old leaders, Roy and Joyce + Cheryl and Shaun who decided to tag along.
Lunch with the old class, dessert with the new class. Haha. That being said, a big thank you to the Fifteens of 2006, for being such a great group to teach, care for and be with. People like Marianne H., Benjamin, Song Yang, Joel, Jonathan Yong, Moses and Melissa. And... a big hello to the Seventeens of 2007, our new class. People like Shuhui, Tanya, Evangelin, Claudia, Lydia, Nicolas and Christian. A new year awaits! =)
KPC's 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrations and Watchnight was not bad either. Same as the previous year's, but with a a difference. Newfound hope for the new year. There was Odyssey, The Clown. We're starting Faith Factor 2007 with 70+ youths. Joshua Ling's back. Now we've got 3 pastors, two of which will be taking care of the Youth and Young Adult Ministries respectively. Indeed these are exciting times for us. Praise be to God. =)
My computer's rapidly running out of space. With new games taking up to 5 GB nowadays, all it takes is a few of these to fill up your hard disk. Not forgetting the countless photographs taken over the past few years, with KPC photos taking about four-fifths the total amount of space. Sure, I've tried to burn them into DVD-Rs, but still, the rate at which they keep coming... Yeah. I'm no computer genius either.
Maybe it's time for some spring cleaning. In with the new, out with the old. And it's not just for the computer alone. I've barely started. Deleting old files and meaningless photographs and video clips, sweeping the ledge outside the living room window, clearing my cluttered desk. Haven't touched my drawer full of cards and letters yet though. Too many memories, both good and bad, that I don't wanna spend too much time going through the mess. We'll see.
I'm not sure if that gesture was meant as an olive branch, abeit a small one. But it did seem so, at least to me. I don't know. But I sure hope so. It's a new year after all, almost one year since... Well anyway I hope Claudia and Justin's remarks don't make me think too much. Things are already complicated enough with the new situation this year. I've not even been able to resolved old issues yet. I certainly don't need any more trouble.
In with the new, out with the old. Well I think that should be one of my new year resolutions this year huh.
