The First Week

So much to say, so much to do. Everything just seems to be super rushed. Indeed, it's about rushing to wait and waiting to rush. Wah lao. Quite tired I must say.

Extremely thankful that we didn't need to stay the full 14 days of confinement. Really can't imagine how those who did survived man. 7 days can kill if you're unprepared. Packed like anything. Rushed meals, weapons cleaning/stripping/assembly, set up our S.B.Os/helmet, swim test, IPPT Cat Test, vaccinations, lectures, stand by area, more lectures and intense physical activity. Not to mention running up and down the bunk areas to get to our destination, wherever it may be.

Also very glad that I'd be able to book out Saturday morning all the way to early afternoon. For some MOE Psychometric Test @ Civil Service College. Most probably will be missing route march. ;) Should I get through this round and the following interviews, I'd seriously have to consider and pray about whether I should take up a job in the teaching line (no no, not just being a teacher, but maybe someone working in MOE HQ or something). And serving out the 4 year bond that comes with it of course.

Most of all, thank God for bringing me through the first week. 7 or 8 weeks to go before Passing Out. 06/06/06's the day! It'll come sooner than we think! I hope. Haha. Oh and not to mention the two month cut in our NS liability. That means I'll serve only 1 year and 10 months instead of two full years. Alright man.

Proud to be in Mohawk. =)
